Useful tool.

Thought I could put what I wanted in the windows but that was not the case - the app has specific areas for each window that cannot be changed

The most recent updates nuked weather support for devices running iOS 15.xx or lower. I’ve used Morning as a home hub on an iPad Air 2 mounted in my wall powered over ethernet for years now. I don’t see any use for this app other than for a “home screen”, on an always on device, so unfortunately it is useless to me now.

The difficulty with this app is that it's lacking some abilities it promises such as tapping on the news for an expanded version of the headline, or knowing where the weather report is coming from, the origin of the weather description. Could be great I hope they keep developing this app.

I have the app purchased through my Apple account and share to my general family account used on an iPad displayed in the kitchen. I don’t know if this is an app problem or an Apple problem but the app continually loses its family share validation and won’t open on the family iPad. Each time I must uninstall, reinstall/purchase and it will again validate. Then I must set the app up all over with my widgets. It’s a great app but this makes it a real pain.

I have my iPad mini mounted on my dash, just open thus app and I have everything I need right in front of me. I know people would love more control, maybe fonts, font sizes, colors to dress it up. I think the Simplicity of the app is the best part. Only thing I would like to see to improve for me, would be ADDING MORE APPS- like MS to-dos, email(not to open, just to view what’s in your inbox)

Currently everything is fixed, and there’s no way to change size of the box.

Great App. All the info I need. Maybe a twitter feed as well as the news feed? Option to play music? One piece that would be a huge help for me would be the ability to cast to my TV. Something I can look at as I get ready in the mornings.

We had a weather display unit that showed time and current weather along with five day forecast. When it no longer worked we searched for a replacement with no luck. Like another reviewer we took an old iPad and now have a helpful display of info. I just wish the weather display would show the 10 day forecast. And I’d like to have more and better theme choices. It feels like windows 1995.

I have an iPad sitting on my desk that was unused except for when I was on the go. Morning turned it into an nice status board for my upcoming events, reminders, stocks, and news feeds (which I have custom feeds for status of systems I administer). When I first installed it, I had a problem with stock information. Within a day Tamper support responded and fixed the issue. Great product, great support.

I set up an old jailbroken iPad Mini Smart Mirror build to launch Morning every morning, and every time I come back home. It’s a wonderful way to get at-a-glance information, even from across the room. I realize I may not be the target demographic, but simple dashboard apps like this are hard to come by these days. Awesome job from the devs - please keep it up!

I love pretty much everything about it, except that you can’t input a walking or biking time for your morning commute. I walk to work, but because driving is the only option, the apps time estimate is incorrect :/ If they could fix that, that’d be great

You shouldn't have to pay for this app at its current developmental stage. It lacks important customization features like adding a public transit feature under the commute option. Also lacking is the ability to define types of categories to get suggestions for blogs and news sources to add to your feed (I.e, politics, entertainment, sports, etc.). I contacted the developer months ago about the commute option and received a response right away that sympathized, but it hasn't done anything to actually have this feature added. Ultimately, I don't use the app because of these lacking features and won't recommend the app to others until they are added.

Pretty and clean interface...reminds me of the now defunct app "Mynd" - sadly, it all goes flat from there. The app has no real functionality. For example, you can't interact with your calendar appointments, so it is really just a picture of what your calendar has on it. Want to dive into the weather? Can't get more than the temperature. Generally, you need to interact with the data, even with the welcome and sparse GUI...which I prefer. If they can get to that point, it is a hands down winner, but without more function it is just a pretty car without an engine.

I love this idea! I wish the commute was more than just driving. I take the subway and would love notifications on that. Bummer.

This app is pretty cool but it's kind of pointless without an alarm clock function. Maybe it could also start playing music or a news/weather broadcast at the preset alarm time.

Useful tool.

I bought this app for my wife - she normally asks me for all of this information in the morning. It works well, and she seems to like it. 4 stars because it is good, but I would prefer more functionality rather than being able to buy more colors. 1.) The weather needs to include wind speed, because you choose your outfit with this is mind. 2.) Needs music controls. Play/Pause, previous track, next track and song playing information. 3.) This is less important,but my wife goes to a different office everyday, so it would be nice to choose from a list of recent locations.

At first I thought this was a great idea. Stupid me, I didn't realize that everything I could get from "Morning" I can get for free by pulling down the notifications on my phone that were already there! Morning charges you for the same info except is is lower quality. You can even adjust the map to pick alternate routes! I wish I had my money back. Bummer.

Such a fundamental element of iOS design. I wanted to leave my iPad in the dock and still use the app. I'm looking for another option now since I don't enjoy reading at a 90 degree angle

I dont find this app useful. I regret buying it tbh. Disappointed.

This app is great if you drive to work. If not, it's just an app that combines weather and news. Adding a setting option that tells me commute time for public transportation would make this perfect.

Would be really helpful to have social channels as optional panels. The major feature still missing from this app is that there's no alarm. For this to be a useful "morning" app it really needs to be able to wake you up. Otherwise great design and looking forward to seeing where the updates take this app.

Could be my favorite app and I could erase so many more if I could get Facebook updates and it integrated into other features like maybe my passbook. I need to know my bank account status first thing in the morning. Also if it could link to email that would be awesome too!!

I love the idea of a morning dashboard, and Morning does just that! The last few updates have really smoothed over the rough edges, leaving the app polished and functional. Feature suggestions: It'd be great to have controls for a music player as one of the frames. That could be the built-in music app, or Pandora, Spotify, whatever.

And I'll add that fifth star ;)

Great app! Love being able to see all important info for the day with a click. Would be very useful to be able to see tomorrow's reminders, events, tasks etc. before going to bed as well.

Open this app before you leave home on the way to work- it checks the traffic and provides driving time. Accurately. Awesome. I also set up my reminders to check the top of my list of things to do, every day. Love it!

All iPad docks are in portrait mode. It is beyond me why this a app does not support portrait orientation. I want a refund.

Great work on design: colors, fonts spacing, etc. But it could use more options. Countdown timer is probably useless to most users, while not everybody's using reminders. Adding tasks from Wunderlist would be an awesome feat. More options please... :)

Please juts list the next N items of the selected calendar in its pane. I use this in my kitchen and only being able to see today's items prevents me from using Morning. This is a great dashboard app, but the advantage of leaving it running all the time is its ability to remind me of upcoming events. Morning can't do that :( Please consider just showing a list of upcoming events in the calendar pane instead of just Today's events.

It's ok, but only gives you a days window of what events and appointments are. It would be much more complete if if gave you more than just what is happening today. Colors are nice but 24 Me is much better

I like this app. I know there are little things we might want to see (current temp) on the iPad version for instance. But overall well worth the money.

This is a good concept but has a lot of limitations. It needs to link to other apps and have productivity functionality such as a to do list , full calendar and planner. It would be well worth the money for me if it had those things but not in its current state.

Do not buy this app. This is a total waste of time and money. What a scam. Deserves zero stars.

This is exactly like the notification bar, just with color. Apple can do that anytime to its notification bar. If you're willing to pay anymore than $0.99 for this completely unoriginal idea, go for it.

A dashboard with no ability to go portrait?

I like the idea of having this app as the one I go to first thing. It looks great, mostly functions well (double-tapping needs some work), and allows for some customization. It is also one of those apps that is programmed right for touch. Nice job! That said, it needs more, especially for the price. What would be useful is to allow for more customization, especially the iPad version. It's beautiful, but it needs more oomph. Love this little app and I look forward to more from it.

I wish I paid more attention to the other reviews. Most say they dislike this app and I totally agree. I thought I was getting it on my iPad as well as my iPhone it's only on my iPad. I'm going to try to get my money back.

Maybe it will gain more flexibility and customization. I hope so. More routes and naming capabilities might be one idea. Being able to get DJI live quote (currently not happening) seems a no-brainer. News headlines too minimal to be worth much, much less having to leave app to pick up more than a teaser. Concept: B+; Execution: C+

I can not to add a new source, app just crashes and crashes every time. Actually I want my money refund. It doesn't look's like real news stand. Just another clock with weather and stocks...

It's true that this is pretty minimalist, as other reviewers have said, but in some ways that's part of its appeal for me. I like being able to see, at a glance, just the task I need to work on next, just my next appointment, etc. It gives me a valuable snapshot of where I'm at in my day at any given moment. I do wish you could customize it to, for instance, draw to-dos from something other than the reminders app (I use Remember the Milk). I'd also like to be able to edit tasks/events right in the app. So yes, it would be better if it were more tweakable, but I still find it worthwhile as is.

It's not worth more than .99 right now, considering what's out there. Little annoyances frustrate- the main one is I can't figure out the trick to tapping on the news article "just right" to open the page- and it's often the wrong page if it does open. Also, the "work" timer shouldn't be labeled "work"- let it be for anyplace you're going, to make it more flexible. I like the countdown, weather, and reminders. This app just needs more to make it worthy of the price. An alarm would be nice, and a package delivery notification, for example. Making me pay to turn it different colors is ludicrous. Besides all that, this is a nice start to a cool-looking one-stop shop.

This app has everything you need and may want to know first thing when you wake up all in one easy place
